Oildex Chief Security Officer, Rick Imbrogno, Named to Calgary CIO and CISO Governing Body

Calgary CIO and CISO community appoints IT and cybersecurity industry leaders to discuss the evolving technology landscape

CALGARY, Alberta – Oildex, the leader in financial automation solutions for the oil and gas industry, announced today Rick Imbrogno, the company’s Chief Security Officer, has been named to the Governing Body of Evanta’s (a Gartner Company) Calgary-based CIO and CISO executive community. This community comes together three times a year in Calgary for invite-only events that give cybersecurity and information technology leaders the opportunity to discuss how to navigate today’s constantly evolving technology landscape.

“I’m honored to be part of this group of leaders,” said Imbrogno. “The pace at which technology changes requires individuals and organizations to stay on top of the latest developments, especially as cybersecurity threats continue to grow and access to hacking tools gets easier and easier. Being able to come together and share ideas and perspectives across a variety of industries will only help disrupt and enhance our approach to technology adoption and implementation.”

The Governing Body’s focus is to gain insight into innovative solutions to real-world problems, collaborate with peer-vetted partners and move our industry forward.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Rick to our Governing Body,” said Angela Coryell, Brand Director at Evanta. “His leadership around cybersecurity issues in such a highly regulated industry as oil and gas will provide great ideas on how other industries can deal with similar issues.”

Evanta, a Gartner Company, has three events planned in Calgary this year: the Calgary Inner Circle Dinner on April 26, the Calgary Inner Circle Dinner on August 7 and the Calgary Executive Summit on December 5.
