The Power of the Network

September 11th and 27th marked two more successful Oildex Community Conferences! This year’s theme was “The Power of the Network,” with hundreds of Oildex clients, prospects and partners from across the continent gathered at the Rimrock Resort Hotel in Banff and the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin. Oildex’s new CEO Craig Charlton and the entire Oildex senior leadership team welcomed the attendees and discussed how Oildex is at the forefront of driving innovation and best practices in the oil & gas industry in the new normal of lower energy prices. On September 27th, Craig also announced the exciting news that Oildex has acquired Phoenix DAS, a leading provider of integrated field operations management software for oilfield suppliers.

Oildex community conferences are an opportunity for attendees to network with their peers, learn about our product roadmap and participate in many of our topic tracks such as spend management, accounts payable automation, revenue accounting and much more! Attendance this year was up significantly from last year’s events, particularly for the Austin conference.

2017 Oildex Community Conference Attendence

This year, each conference included three types of breakout sessions:

  • Product Sessions
    The product sessions provided detailed updates about each of our products: OpenInvoice, Field Ticket, Data Exchange and Business Relations (owner web portals and owner, partner, and vendor call center services). They included details on our new Revenue Detail(CDEX), Run Ticket(CODE) and Gas Balancing Management System applications.
  • Customer Panels
    These sessions included panel discussions featuring customers who currently use Oildex products — they walked through their experiences, followed by audience Q&A.
  • Spotlight Workshops
    Spotlight workshops provided an interactive environment for attendees to participate in facilitated sessions to identify and explore specific challenges and opportunities through group discussions.

Both the customer panels and the Spotlight sessions were new this year and proved to be very popular with conference attendees.
